TH, Day 12

Sunday, June 12, 2011

Today was a busy day. We went shopping today for Taylor's birthday presents. She wanted a new pair of workout shoes (that's my girl!!!), so we went to the mall. Well, we got there at 11am and none of the stores opened till noon, so we walked. All over the mall. :P Once the stores opened, she tried on 3 different pair and decided on a pair of Rykas. They're really cute, purple and grey. So within a half hour, we were done with her shopping (that's so NOT my girl :P). lol Wednesday, we're going to Verizon to get her a new cellphone, so she can retire her old Razor with the missing OK button. lol

After the shoe store, we went to Sears so I could check out treadmills. I found one I really like, and an elliptical that's really nice. Now if I just had $2800 lying around so I could buy them. That's not happening any time soon! lol

After playing on the equipment for a few minutes, Taylor and I went over to check out the workout gear. She needed a new sports bra, so we found a pretty purple one (of course) and a pair of workout capris.

Oh, and I almost forgot. After that, we went to Bath and Body Works so I could get some different body wash. I love the ones I have, but they're heavier, more floral scents. I like to have something lighter and more crisp for the summertime. Again, more justification. lol

After the mall, we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond so I could get my coffee. We have that Kuereg (sp?) pot that takes the cups, and that's the only store I've found that sells my kind.

Next was lunch at McAlisters. I got the spud ole again (and have half left for lunch tomorrow...bonus!) and a small salad, water to drink. :D Then it was grocery shopping at Hyvee.

We got home around 5ish, so while Taylor made spanish rice for dinner, I did my videos. I started with abs today, then cardio and ended with yoga. I don't know what it is, but the abs video almost kills me! I don't know if its because I'm straining so much, or a combination of lying down and exertion, but it always leaves me reaching for the motrin. It gives me such a headache! It has to be something about my blood pressure rising from being on the floor like that.

Anyway, once the motrin kicked in, I did cardio, and as soon as I could breathe again, I did the Yoga Flex. Taylor loves yoga, so she always joins me on that one.

I didn't do any other cardio today, since I logged about 4 hours of walking. I didn't know how to log that, so I put it in as 2 hours of walking, 30/minute mile. That sounded good enough for me.

After dinner, I attacked my closet. I went through EVERYTHING in there and threw out all the stuff that was either too big, or just didn't fit right anymore, or was just plain ugly! I don't know what I was thinking with some of that stuff! Apparently I was under the assumption that if I have to wear such big sizes, just buy what's comfy regardless of what it looked like. Needless to say, those items did NOT make it into the "donate" pile. I wouldn't inflict someone else with my horrendous clothing!

For the first time in a really long time, everything fits in the closet, and there's even room to slide them around so I can actually SEE what I'm grabbing! I guess subliminally, I didn't actually WANT to see what I was grabbing before! Horrendous, I tell ya! lol

So that was my day. Now I'm just doing my nightly visits and getting some last minute stuff done for BLC18. We start tomorrow and I'm really excited!

Alright, if I want to get to everything done before midnight, I need to shut up and go already. :P Have a great night everyone! Tomorrow is a brand new week! Get out there, get moving and MAKE SMART CHOICES!!!

Way to go on all the exercise! And that's super exciting that you may have an elliptical (or treadmill) coming in your future! Having on of your own at home majes for such easy access... no excuses :)
