My torn tendon seems to be feeling better: 14 months!

I tore a tendon about 14 months ago. Don't know how. Just noticed one day that simply standing hurt like crazy. Went on crutches for awhile -- then a cane. Now I only use a cane in situations where I need to walk faster or stand for a long time. (Whoever invented those stupid standup status meetings should be shot. Standing up doesn't make the long winded people make it short)
At the advice of my pilates instructor, I tried Sketcher's curved bottom shoes. They gave instant pain relief. I didn't need any break-in period at all. Now I've got plain black for work and multi-colored pairs.
For three months I've been working on correcting my posture which got skewed protecting the injured area.
THis morning I awoke and stretched and realized there was no pain. Now that I'm walking, some has returned, but this makes me optimistic that I'll run and play basketball before I turn too old to do so.
