Off to a good start, but can I keep it going?

Well I am on Day 8 of my new, life long jourmey to losing weight and keeping it off. This next week will be very important for me, as this is when my motivation starts to slip.
I lost 10 lbs countless times in the last 10 years only to gain it back. It is funny, as soon as I start to feel as bit better, I will relax and slip into old habits. I know it will be different this time though.
I have used the tracker before and tried to exercise. I have come to realize I need more than that to succeed. I need all of you here on sparkpeople. I have been spending alot more time reading blogs, looking at posts, reading receipes. I have come to realize that in order to have success, I am going to need the help and encouragement I get from sparkpeople.
I need to learn how to love myself. I seem to struggle with self-sabbatoge....does anyone else do this....I don't know why I do this.....
This blog is all over the place as I stuggle to understand myself and the reasons I look to food for things that I readily have available to me. (Love/Friendship/Family) I have no excuses for my behaviour...time to shape up and forge forward.
