I had 29 calories to go so I tweaked celery amount to stay under

Sunday, July 10, 2011

Yesterday was challenging. Errands to run in locations 30 miles apart. My first mistake was having a 3 cheese-slice breakfast -- should have stuck with neufchatel cheese at 1/3 the calories.

Lunch on the run at Panera. Soup and half a sandwich. I forgot even half the sandwich is 340 calories. Should have had twice the soup which was only 100 calories a cup.

Then onto granddaughter's b'day party. I brought grilled KFC and was able to keep to 2 drumsticks. But I had to have a grilled hot dog or seem rude/ungracious. Whoa, those things are loaded with calories. And some of the special yellow rice with chicken bits.

Fortunately, there was a mix up getting the actual b'day cake, so I had to leave before it arrived. Good thing. I'm a 2 slice cake person.

By the time I got home and added up the calories, I had 29 left to stay at goal of 1550. It wasn't even dinner time yet. What could I do? I had celery and I tweaked the tracker until I got how much celery was 29 calories.

Yes, I ate celery all evening.

But I am so proud this morning!
