It's week 3 of the July Hot Mama's Challenge with the Sparkteam Fit and Pregnant.
Menu for the Week:
Friday: Chinese - Yeah, sometimes I cave in to my cravings but as a Sparker I've learned about portions and calories. I felt I made good decisions!
Saturday: Chicken Parmesan and Cucumber Salad - A few weeks ago I was looking up recipes on Babyfit and found one for Chicken Parmesan. I've never tried it before, sounds delish though.
Sunday: Picnic - Don't know what's going to be served but I will be sensible!
Monday: Black Bean Burger and Roasted Potato Wedges - This is one of my favorite meals. My mom made it for me after I started SP. She likes for my family and I to go over for dinner so she made something "healthy" just for me. I loved it so much I asked her for the recipe and now I make it every once in a while.
Tuesday: Veggie Pizza and Fruit Crisp - My fiance makes the veggie pizza, apparently it's a family secret that I'm not privy to LOL or it could be that he just likes to pick on me.
Wednesday: Split Pea Soup - Favorite soup, especially now that I'm pregnant. I always seem to want soup, the best part is I make enough to have for a few lunches or dinners. I love dipping whole wheat bread in it and if I'm still good on calories I add a little butter to said bread.
Thursday: Baked Sweet Potato - If I had to I could live off of this, it's so filling I can't even finish it most of the time.
Grocery List for the week:
Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, Eggs, Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, Butter, Spaghetti sauce, Shredded mozzarella cheese, Grated parmesan cheese, Sweet potatoes, Apples, Rolled oats, Walnuts, Black Beans, Potatoes, Roasted potato seasoning mix, Carrots, Celery, Split peas, Onions

This coming monday I will be 21 weeks pregnant! Only 19 more weeks til Baby Bee graces the world with his total awesome baby-ness!
Being pregnant hasn't changed much for me as an SP member. I'm just as active on the site as I was before. I did cut back on workouts. I was working out everyday - running everyday but I cut back because...I'm tired LOL. I think that's just a super reason LOL. I still watch what I eat and track everything but I also allow myself to indulge once in a while. Just a few days ago I had the urge to slather peanut butter on Oreos. I didn't do it though, seemed like too much work at the time and I also didn't feel like logging it in my tracker. I was having a lazy day LOL.
The hardest thing about being a pregnant Sparker is all the challenges I'm in. My focus at the moment isn't about losing weight but when weigh in day comes along I'm always surprised when the scale shows a loss. I seem to expect the scale to show an outrageous gain or even just a small one. These challenges are what help keep me motivated, well....aside from my SP friends. I'll be here til I go into labor and then I'll be back to lose the baby weight LOL.
