I finally asked about it

Day 271

I finally asked a doctor about not losing any weight---not even a pound---since the end of April, even though I've been going to the gym 3-6 days a week and working out vigorously. He said it was normal, as I knew he would, and said I probably won't see any weight loss for at least another 3 or 4 months. I knew it, but it was good to hear it any way. So I'm going to stop expecting to lose something, anything and just focus on getting stronger.

I'm going to try and focus more on how I feel and less on how much I weigh. It's hard to not focus on it though!

You can do it...and so can I!!

First, emoticon on working out so diligently and steadfastly. Did your doctor explain why it'll take another 3-4 mos to see results? Is it because your intake of calories increased along with the upshoot of exercises?

Second, regardless of what the scale says, I think if you feel much more energized and healthy and fit, you're on the right track!

Did he happen to say why you wouldn't lose weight for another 3 or 4 months? I've been pretty much stuck for a number of months and I've been working out hard as well.

Congratulations on the continuing to workout!
