OPI Nail Polish

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

I've lost 47 lbs now and when I hit the 50 lb mark I would like to reward myself with some nice OPI nail polish. I usually buy the cheap stuff, so this is why it's a reward for me. Does anyone recommend any colors that you like? The only color I own is called "I'm not really a waitress" and I LOVE it!

you must really be in a horrible place financially to need to use nail polish as a reward....and FYI just so everyone else knows OPI nailpolish is made by the same people in the same place where the nail polish 5 Below sells...and theirs are 3 for 5 bucks and are very large

My favorite nail polish for this summer is a China Glaze, PEACHY KEEN, which I wear on my toenails. I've gotten two GLEE nailpolishes by OPI: Slushied which is a turquoise & Mash-up, a light purply silver.

OPI came out with a pastel sampler for $12.50 for Pirates of the Caribbean: Skull & Glossbones, Planks A Lot (pink), Sparrow Me the Drama (lavender), & Strange Tides, which work really well with OPI's Black or Silver Shatter. I love the shatter! If you haven't tried it, you should.

I buy my OPI from Ulta. They frequently have a flyer in the Sunday newpapers, and they either have buy 2 get one sale, or a coupon like $3.50 off of $10 purchase, so I haven't paid full price for any of them.

I second the comment that suggests getting a manicure. The salons usually use OPI, and you can get pampered & try out colors at the same time.

Fifty pounds is terrific !!! emoticon emoticon

I am so impressed with your weight loss. I know that you say your reward is new nail polish, but I am betting that being 50 pounds lighter is the best reward! Congratulations. That is no small achievement. I know how hard it is and what a struggle to lose the weight. Good for you!

Congrats on your weight loss! You deserve a reward. I love this idea and may just have to borrow it! I don't buy OPI, as a nail polish impulse buyer they don't carry it in the drug store or grocery store. I love the names and recall yours. Let us know what you decide! You may hear from me with my first OPI polish soon.

Congrats on the weight loss so far and I love the idea of rewarding yourself with nail polish. I am a nail polish freak myself (I have over 100 bottles right now). OPI is a great brand. The two colors that I would recommend are "Tickle My France-y" which is a beautiful pinky-neutral color and "You Don't Know Jacques" which is a dark taupey-brown color. I think those two are must haves. Congrats again!!

I never buy nice nail polish, either... in fact I don't think I've bought nail polish AT ALL in a couple years ha ha. I did get a pedicure on Sunday, though!

    Congrats on your progress!

I love "princess pink" I think it's called. I'm wearing it now. It's a sheer sparkly pink so it's great on it's own or over another color (like on my toes).

If you go to a beauty store they will have 100+ colors to choose from. Enjoy!

They change their colors frequently. Once you find a color you like you can buy several bottles from websites such as Drugstore.com. They do make a good quality polish in lots of yummy colors. Why not treat yourself to a manicure at a professional manicurist. They have a large selection of colors to choose from. Then you can order the color on line to use at home. 50 pounds lost deserves a celebration. Actually, 47 is emoticon

They have a fum website where you can preview each of their colors !Here's the link :

    http://www.opi.com/
    >They also have a collection by Katy Perry that I love that has a "shattered" effect when you wear the color over another color ! I like really "out there " colors like blues, black, hot pink and glitter myself.Play around at the site and you will surely find something you'll love !Happy nail polish hunting and awesome job on the weight loss !!!
