A special blog for my art and garden-loving Sparkfriends

Hello dear Sparkfriends!

How has your week been? Mine had some ups and downs. So when I saw I could take the afternoon off today, I decided I wanted to visit a garden!

Some of you mentioned how you liked impressionists, and I know some of you also went to Monet's garden in Giverny. So I decided to go to a garden which, although recent, is inspired by Giverny. It was created by a painter called André van Beek in Saint-Paul, North of Paris (near Beauvais).

So, like Monet's garden in Giverny, it is his house and the main place where he paints...

I loved this funny little hen and her baby, looking all fluffy!!!

I know Fall is probably not the best time of the year to visit a garden...

But I wasn't disappointed!

It was a very colorful garden...

Lots of blues too...

And all kinds of hydrangeas...

In some places, you really couldn't miss he got his inspiration from Giverny. I didn't mind because it was lovely!

And still very different from Giverny...
(I loved these red dahlias next to the blue chairs, with the little party lamps above... it must be very atmospheric on the evening!)

There were very few roses left at this time of the year, but wasn't this one pretty?...

Some other flowers looked almost like a piece of jewelry too...

And didn't those look amazing as well?

But the water features of the garden were probably my favorite aspect - peaceful and delicate...

... like the water lilies...

Voilà! :) I hope you enjoyed my little surprise... Have a fantastic weekend!
I am looking forward to my hike tomorrow and to sharing it with you afterwards! :)
