Fell down, but I'm getting myself back up!

I just changed my weight tracker today. This is a big deal for me, because I have gained 11 lbs in the past 2 months. I was in denial and every week I weighed in I didn't change it because the number kept going up. I took a break from tracking my food and exercising. I wanted to give up because life was getting hard but I realized that is what I always do and I need to change my ways. So here I am back and ready to be strong again. I've been going to the gym for the past week now and I forgot how good it makes me feel!

    Welcome back and congratulations on your new beginning. I reset my tracker when I put on a few pounds earlier this year. For me, losing weight is very hard work. I didn't need the frustration of having to get back down to the weight my tracker said, so I changed it and i am glad. Now i see some progress in the right direction! In fact, I have lost ten pounds. Now to lose the next 14 and not backslide. I think the encouragement I get here on Spark has really helped. You can do this. I know that it is not easy, but you can do it!

    I've been there and I know it's hard to really confront that. Every time I would get motivated to work out, I would pretend that it would be enough to start losing weight, and just wouldn't acknowledge the number.

    It's frustrating, but admitting the number, and digging back in is going to be so much more productive than denial.

    emoticon It is a hard thing to update that weight tracker with a higher number (been there/done that emoticon ), but it is a step in the right direction. After all, it is only a number, and it only has power over us if we allow it to be a road block. Congrats for taking back the control!!
