No Running for a Week! Really!!

I have been having some pain in the top of my foot and I wasn't really worried because it didn't really hurt when I exercised just sometimes at the end of the day. I decided to have the Athletic Trainer that comes to the school look at it on Wednesday just to make sure it wasn't serious. Well it isn't but I'm not supposed to to run for a week! I can use the elliptical and videos IF there isn't a lot of hard striking with my foot. He said the tendons in my foot were inflamed and if I didn't rest and ice, it could turn into a stress fracture. So even though I'm bummed, I was finally getting back up to 15 miles a week, I'm resting it for the week and I'll be back to running on Tuesday.
