Something's up with my body. And not something good. I don't know what's going on inside me, but I've gained 5.5 lbs in 6 days. Not only that, but 2.5 of them are since yesterday! WTH!!!!!

I would have to have 16500 calories of extra intake without any more calorie output. That would be an extra 2750 calories a day. Well technically, it would have been 1800 extra calories for 5 days and 7500 extra calories yesterday. This had BETTER be water weight gain because a period is about to start! lol

So obviously this week is a wash, weight-wise. I've done pretty good on fitness though. I do need to refocus and get in a better strength training schedule though. I'm really starting to think that was the key with all my success early on in this journey. That and the 100 fitness minute days. lol I guess the winter blues are kicking my butt more than what I'd thought.

I'm going to get my nails done today, then going to the store for some more veggies. I've run out of broccoli and I'm almost out of lettuce. That can't happen. If I don't have veggies to snack on, then the junk will start showing up. I'm already eating too many carbs for my liking. Not according to my tracker, but I just feel like there's too many going in. Is that weird? I need more green leafies!!!! lol

I got my eyebrows and lip waxed yesterday. Oh yeah, topic switch. Sorry. lol Anyway, I went to someone new. That's always scary. Now I've got little blister bumps around my eyebrows and a couple above my lip. I really can't stand my super sensitive skin. Now I have to wait for the bumps to go away before I can actually enjoy the results.

Not really much else to say. I just hadn't blogged for a while and wanted to vent about my crazy weight gain issues. Has this happened to anyone else? I'd be interested to know if this is a normal thing or if anyone has any suggestions on the matter. I don't like the feeling of going backward when I'm actively trying to progress. I could understand it if I was eating fast food and sitting my lazy butt in front of Facebook all day, but that's so not the case. Its frustrating, you know?

    fluid retention is a demon we have to deal with! I had too much salt last week and was way up on the scale!

    I think it's water or constipation.. probably menstrual.. Have you been tracking food regularly? And do you check the daily caloric differential report from the Nutrition page? If you look back through that over the past week, you can tell how much you ate above your BMR and if you should have gained anything, lost, or stayed the same.

    It dose sound like a lot of water weight. And it is possible. There are days I literally gain 5 pounds and then there are days i drop 5 pounds. There are a lot of factors that play in. Just keep tracking everything and keep watching the numbers if something doesn't work this week try something else next week eventually you will hit it on the head and start back in the right direction.

    I agree with the other posts. Water weight, hormones, stress. I was up 3 pounds this morning, but I ate more sodium than I normally do yesterday. I just keep reminding myself that I am doing what I need to do so don't focus on the numbers.

    You know it HAS to be water weight or colon...With all the hard work and effort you are putting in it couldn't be anything else!!! Hang in there, you know it will come back off and hopefully in a few days!!! Based on your shopping list, sounds like you are not letting this discourage you and that is awesome! Just keep fighting, it will show on that scale! Miss you! :)

    same thing happened to me this week.... it happens.... your body can change in weight up to 5 pounds a day ive heard... water weight in women... stress levels affect it... i know its been a super stressful week for me... and i have been pretty emotional... all you can do is keep at what you are doing and know you are treating your body well... it will repond in all different kinds of ways.... good luck on your journey and dont let the gain bother you
