Warning~Same old issue but asking for your help~ PLEASE!!

Well I'm still trying to find my Willpower and behave myself and not snack. I'm AWESOME at getting my cardio in, and I don't mean to sound arrogant, but that's something I can say that I do well, ST not so much and eating healthy and in range NOT SO MUCH! emoticon I know that I can do it, I have done it before but it seems to be an ongoing struggle for me this year. I can't lose the weight I want, which could be due to increased running causing muscle gain, but to me I just feel fat. I know that I have gained more than just muscle and I know what I need to do to lose weight, but once again it's the lack of Willpower.

So I'm asking for ideas, I need HELP!! I'm game for anything, let me have it! Thanks for listening and for the help Sparkfriends! emoticon emoticon

Thanks for all the help and support!! I'm working on trying to get more sleep and the B complex vitamin sounds good, if I knew I could get the family on board maybe I would try the Paleo diet. Thanks again for all the advice, I REALLY appreciate it!! emoticon emoticon s!!

Wow friend I didn't know you were strugglig. The last time I talked to you, you were trying to motivate me! But I guess that's the beauty of Sparks, we all need to help eachother at some point or another. It's a cycle of support.

I'm still not back on track so I don't know what to tell you except to not stress out about it or beat yourself about it. That's what I'm doing and atleast I haven't gotten sad or down about my weight gain. I'm being realistic and preparing myself to get back on track. Hope you get back on a roll and talk to you later!

Got some good ideas here! I agree! Do you crave sweets? Do you take vitamins? If you increase your B's that helps with craving sugar. I have a sweet tooth and It does work- I take a B-complex everyday and it also helps with stress/nervous system, which leads to emotional eating. Keep pretzels and low cal popcorn handy and just count out the portions and eat slowly is another idea. I do not allow junk food in our house anymore. If we have to have some food we are craving, like chips or sweets-small bag or one serving at a time. That way not tempted to eat large amounts. Good luck! Be strong! Good going on the exercise!!!

Snacking was one of my bad points, especially in the evening when I know its the worst possible time to do it.
I switched over to the paleo diet and cut out sugars and standard carbs (wheat, other grains, potatoes, etc). After about two weeks of this, I stopped feeling the urge to snack.
I seem to be satiated if I keep up with good meals like eggs and sausage for breakfast, chicken and veggies for lunch and something similar for dinner.
I had to completely clean my cupboards of all of the bad stuff so the temptation wouldn't be there!
It was a bit of work to get started, but its been worth it and I've already lost several pounds.

Stop and think of how much stress you have in your
life. That would send anyone to snack. Plus, I know
for a fact, that you are not getting enough good,
quality sleep. Put those two together and that may
explain the snacking. I know that is what happens
to me. How to fix it? Only you can do that. When the
little man doesn't let you sleep through the night,
the next morning you are stressed out.
    Keep trying! HUGS!

So hard to do with a family! Try keeping a bag of veggies (radishes, carrots, celery, etc.) precut and ready to munch on in the fridge! And, you are not fat! Also, you may need to change up your exercise program! Hugs!

Hi! Instead of not snacking can you switch up your snacks to healthier ones (fruits and veggie??). I'm finding that snacking healthier is helping - I especially like oranges (only 80 cals.)
