Calorie Counting

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Well, at the age of 45 calorie counting isn't working for me! I was told to do 2600 calories with some exercise and I didn't do a lot of exercise but I did exercise. I didn't eat 2600 calories everyday either in fact I fell 200 short just about every day. But I won't cry over it, I'll change my calorie intake to 2000 and I'll exercise at least 5 days and see what happens! I have a vacation coming up in August and I can't be fat. I would love to lose...won't put a number on it but i know i don't want to be the weight I am now when I go on vacation!!

I spoke to a dietician and adjusted my calories down too. My range was 2000-2500, but I was coming in at 1900 pretty consistently. So we lowered mine to 1800-2100 and I continue to exercise. I'm losing 1-1.5 lbs a week and not starving or feeling deprived. I know this will be a long, slow process, but I also feel stronger and I already went down one belt notch. So the scale is only part of the story. Keep your head up and best of luck to you!
