244,500 acres burned as of last night

Thursday, July 05, 2012

Here are some pictures of the 244,500 acre Ash Creek Complex fire in Southeastern Montana. We are under evacuation order but are not leaving as of now.

You will not find this fire on the news unless you are in Montana. This is the biggest fire in the nation by a lot, but not one report on the national news or any words of encouragement has come from the government outside of MT & WY.

I guess we don't exist to the rest of the country...

The pictures are awwesome, you are in God'shands. I can understand the not evacuating, but no animals are worth risking your lives. Easy to say but hard to do. We are all praying for you guys. I have been asking that very question- why is there no coverage of this? Is there any way we can help?

How close is this getting to the ranch? If you are under an evacuate warning, how much time can you be given? The pictures must be hitting close to home.

Ohhh Casey... Great pictures but such a tragedy. Has the ranch survived so far? How far away are these from Billings or Bozeman? Brian has family in both places and I havent heard any of this from them, ususally they email with big news, and I would say this qualifies.
