When people don't keep appointments.

When I went to my nutritionist's office on Monday she said she couldn't make it to Powell like usual on Tuesday but would be coming Thursday. I said that's fine and I would be drive Tuesday to Cody instead of Thursday. The offices is open 8:30-1 & 2:30-6:30. She asks that everyone on the program weigh in 3 times a week.

When I got there on Tuesday, there was a note on the door saying she was at an apt until 1:15. This is not the first time this has happened. I use my lunch hour to drive there and drive back so I couldn't stay. So I drove a total of 66 miles for nothing. Great.

Today I went to where she comes to weigh us in when she comes to Powell. AND SHE WASN'T THERE! No call, no text; nothing.

I'm SO irritated! My brain keeps telling me to eat pizza and drink beer tonight just to "show her." I KNOW that is not what I should do. It will only hurt me. I am very very frustrated, though.

I'm trying to talk myself out of ordering pizza...it is not going well...

That would annoy me to. Maybe she has a good excuse. Just remember eating that pizza doesn't hurt her, it only hurts you.

Ugh, that is REALLY obnoxious and really rude and thoughtless and inconsiderate of her. But I like what CODILYNN said - don't take revenge on yourself! Maybe instead, you can *show* that woman by doing even better without her stupid help, and make really really healthy food choices and all that. :)

Man, I can't believe anyone would be so cavalier about someone else's time. So unprofessional. I hope you have a stern talk with her next time you see her!

That's super ridiculous. As a professional, she should at least call ypu. You're doing HER the favour by giving her the business, not the other way around. I would sit her down the next time I see her and tell her what she's doing is a breach of contract. How can she expect you to feel oblifated to pay if she doesn't feel obligated to show up?

As for the pizza and beer, don't do it! It'll taste good for the moment but then you'll be kicking yourself because you gave in to a momentary lapse. I found some super incredible recipes at Damy Health (holy crap!) that don't use grain or refined sugar. Everything is super natural. She even makes pizza bites out of caulifower, so why not give those a try?
I made the cinnamon dolce cupcakes yesterday and they were to die for (not to mention super healthy!).

Remember that you're doing this for you, not her -- and she's not behind all your success, either. That's strictly you!

    Good luck, girl!

I hear your frustrations. Nothing like a wasted lunch break to feel like it's going to break you.

As far as the pizza goes-make your own, it will save you tons of calories. Friday nights are movie and pizza night in our house and we make it a family night and etch make our own homemade pizza. My husband makes whatever he wants on his, but I use those flatout tortilla roll looking things (90 calories) (I have also used pita bread) and then put low sodium tomato sauce, with low fat cheese and then add some fresh veggies and then I top it with seasonings and bake it. It satisfies my pizza craving and for only about 300 calories! :)

I know what you mean and how you feel. Especially if you are like us and always on time, if not early for appointments.

Don't give in to the frustration with a pizza, even though that does sound good.
