I wonder where my car is (under that snow bank), I wonder where the barn is... Oops- see those "ears" to the right of the barn? That is a 16.1 hh horse. I guess I better go feed :-)

Looks like alot of snow! We had our big fall in december. Couldn't get the car out for 48 hours. We have to be ready for those things here in Q uebec. 2940 days ago

Thanks for all your kind comments. The sun is out today and the snow will be melting all week :-) I am glad it is warmer, but we might actually get some rain tomorrow. That will be an interesting weather event on top of 3+ feet of snow. The horses always have the option of getting into a 80'x14' loafing shed that runs alongside the barn's length. Just like us, they like to get outside and MOVE! They all have blankets/sheets, heated water etc.! It is just like having kids to take care of 24/7. In this weather, they are doing airs above the ground- more fun to watch than TV. Well, I've got to return to the fray; it's a shovel marathon kind of day :-) 2940 days ago

Thank you for commenting on my "snow blog". Now, you have REAL snow. OMG. I had to show my husband your barn and horse ears. We have two horses (no barn) and 3 acres, but our horses are spoiled Southern California horses. My husband watches the temperatures and blankets them if it is going to be below 45 degrees during the night. I always chuckle and ask him what our horses would do in "real" weather. Stay warm and have a good weekend. Leslie 2941 days ago
