Unexpectedly got a little exercise today

Saturday, February 16, 2013

I hadn't planned to get any exercise today, even though I made a decision last night to become active again on the site and get back to some of the things that worked for me a few years ago.

But while taking out the garbage, I found that despite temps in the low 20s, there was very little wind and I was bundled enough that I decided to take a walk down to the corner and back, maybe half a mile total. It felt good. Fresh air always makes me feel good.

Way to go on walking in the cold. I am from too far south to even consider walking in any weather below 38F and that's only since I've been transplanted and finally somewhat acclimated to the temps in TN. Before then, it had to be above 50F for me to do anything outdoors. You are an inspiration. I am going to try to let go of the complaining about the cold and just 'do it' because I really do feel better afterward. emoticon

Way to make a healthy choice! Exercise is hard for me too. I don't want to do it before work because then I'm tried when I get there, but usually after work I'm tried and don't want to. We just have to keep finding ways to motivate ourselves! Good luck!
