Reasons To Lose Weight

Today's assignment is to list all the reasons I want to lose weight. What would I like to change and how do I want to look and how do I want to feel? What thinks will I be able to do in the future as a slimmer healthier person? What other things would I like to change?
Well there are surely plenty of reasons I want to lose weight. Most important is to just be healthier. We all know being overweight (My official stat is OBESE) is just NOT healthy. Diabetes, heart attacks, strokes......all of these are are the by-products of obesity. Unfortunately these things are also in my family tree. But it doesn't have to be MY REALITY. At my last dr visit, my blood pressure was a little high and my dr said on next visit I may have to start medication if it's not lower. I've NEVER had high blood pressure before. Okay, so I've also never been almost 53 years old before either, and I know bp increases with age. But I'm not going to use that as an excuse....and no I'm not accepting a high blood pressure diagnosis. So I've got to lose weight. I WANT to be healthy. I want to live to see my kids marry, and have children. I want to have energy to travel and explore the world.
I want to grow old with my hubby of almost 28 years. Basically, I don't want to just exist, I want to LIVE. I want to live the good life.
I want to look healthy. No more bulging waistlines, muffin top, flabby arms. I have the power to change all that. The strength lies within me. Feeling good about myself because I know I've done my best to be the healthiest and best person I can be. The feeling of confidence in knowing I CAN make a difference. Encouraging others to know they too can WIN at the LOSING game. Definitely looking forward to continuing this journey.
