Been doing very well on my walk schedule and went outside this moring to walk since the weather is so beautiful today. This is the week that lots of birds fly across Indiana on their way to summer (vacation?) and I live by a gravel pit so we have lots of visitors. There were also 3 deer on their way to the woods.

I'm in FL where lots of those birds come. I can attest to their lack of vacationing, since they first find their mates unless they arrive with them, then they set about making a nest, laying the eggs, feeding and training their babies, and then doing it all over again. Some, like the mockingbirds spend lots of time fending off perceived predators like crows, humans, or other animals.
It sound like you live in a lovely natural spot with lots of wildlife!! A photographic journal or sketchbook journal of your morning walks would be lovely!! 2856 days ago
