Power Ally....

Sunday, June 02, 2013

For such a short work week...it has been LONG!

Yesterday I was mentality exhausted. I did watch the Tiger game and WHAT A GAME it was! Shortly afterwards...I went to bed! YES I DID! Yet...I have been up since 4am and have accomplished quite a bit. Amazing the wonders of sleep! emoticon

I have had a POWER food breakfast.... a workout....and have been grocery shopping.

I love going in the early hours. I took my time ...and most of my time was in the PRODUCE aisle. One of my challenges is to have one veggie and one fruit serving with each meal this week. I SHALL SUCCEED! Since Kim and I share our trackers each day.....we both so LACK in FREGGIES. The season is NOW and what better time to start getting into this healthy routine.

I had a certain amount of money I could spend. I ONLY got what was on my list....and walked out with 20 dollars left....BONUS! I was afraid since food prices are so high and I was getting QUALITY food and NO junk.

I felt empowered..... emoticon and quite frankly still did as I chopped and portioned out my treasured POWER FOODS for the week ahead. When I open up the refrigator...it is so eye appealing it is better than a kid in a toy store!

My friend Kim shares pics of her lunch sometimes on FB and I think I shall do the same this week. She has given me a lot of ideas! So many times...ppl share.....the most fattening photos of their meals/desserts it makes me shutter. There was a time when I would have thought...HOW LUCISIOUS....now....I think....OH MY THE POINT VALUES ON THAT BABY!

Yep....Power Alley Week......here I come!

    Enjoy your veggies this week!

On the grocery list I wrote down"summer fruits". Yesterday While I got the lunch meat for Hubby's lunches, he does the veggie/fruit list. He put in the cart raspberries, white peaches, nectraines for our summer fruits along with the banana's, strawberries, grapes I had on list. I know what you mean by opening the frig. and seeing all choices of veggies and fruits to pick from! We eat alot of fresh/frozen veggies with meals and as snacks too
