A Look Back
Monday, August 05, 2013
My challenge from the SparkCoach program today is to look back at what I have accomplished, what I have changed and what is better in my life.
Because of a complication, my surgery scheduled for today was postponed and I was feeling anxious and out of sorts. This brought me right back to what is important.
Some, probably not all:
I have met several goals and have been able to set new ones.
I can walk several blocks without being tired or out of breath
I can get up and down without so much pain in my knees.
I can wear all the clothes in my closet.
I can fit in chairs and seats easier.
I have lowered my cholesterol numbers to a safe place.
I know my surgery will be easier because of the weight I've lost.
I have learned to lighten up some recipes and find I really like them better than the old ones.
I have learned every once in a while I need to get out the measuring cups and food scale again because my eyeballing isn't very accurate.
I have so many new friends and helpful coaches who are here to keep me on the road to this great new lifestyle.
And most of all I have a new friend who drove two hours each way to meet me when I traveled to her area. Life couldn't be better!
