It's been a tough five days. I had a three day weekend, and spent two of them in bed sick. Had this nasty cold, that kicked me hard in the butt. I am still not at 100%, but I am well enough to be able to go back to work today. Even went to the gym this morning, and put in an hour of a workout. Totally drained me, but it was worth it. Went to the gym at 5 this morning, had a hard time sleeping last night. Finally decided to get up, and get to the gym before having to get my children up, and off to school. It was so quiet this morning at the gym, even watched the sunrise while I was on the treadmill.
My friend gave birth to her first daughter yesterday. Tesla Grace was born at 2pm yesterday(January 13, 2014). She weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces, and was 19 inches. Can't wait to see her. Then on Monday a member of our church goes in to give birth to her son. It's sad to think that her husband won't be able to be there with her to enjoy the moment. He is in Afghanastan, but will be able to watch through Skype. Still not the same thing. At least her mom, grandmother, and great grandmother will be there for her, and her big sister as well.
Have so many things going on in the spring and summer months. In May my husband and I celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. In June Daniel graduates from the 8th grade, and in July I have a family reunion to attend. This gives me more and more determination to get
this weight off.
Quote of the day:
A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.
