They were not nice.....no but we who are obese, know that we are looked upon that way by many people. We know the fact that we can run at all should brings an extra satisfaction that we do not need to stoop to the level of this person, rather, know that we are NOT condescending to them. Even those who are slim and always have been can never know the pride and acknowledgment an obese or out of shape person or one with other physical limitation, gets and the pure satisfaction of having climbed a mountain that no one thought they could climb...... a mountain those prejudiced will never have the ability to climb. We have overcome the obstacles that they may never face. However, there are those who are understanding, helpful and applauding of each step accomplished by an obese person. And, by the way, we have an alumnus that they would never be able to communicate with. DON'T LOOK DOWN ON US! WE MAY WIN THE RACE, AFTER ALL AND PASS YOU UP ON THE WAY TO OUR MOUNTAIN. 1916 days ago
