SEVEN reporting on Nims' condition following surgeries.

I spoke with Nims today, and she sounded pretty good! I could even understand her Southern accent through pain medication!

Both surgeries went as expected, and now she's been moved to a rehab facility nearest to her home. She says it'll be 2-3 weeks before she'll be able to go home and be able to stand/walk/move without medical personnel standing by in case of a fall.

Obviously, she's in some pain, and rehab will be difficult. She's got some numbness in her lower right calf & foot, that she's hoping will go away in time with more movement.

On the "up" side, because of the rods placed on each side of the spine, she was told she would actually be 3.5 inches taller!! (In addition, they replaced 4 discs, and were able to put in her own bone marrow.) I'm sure Nims will explain more, when she's back.

Anyway- that's about it. As always, please keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery!
