Weight Loss is Rarely Constant from Week to Week

I have lost a lot in the first few weeks, and then my weight loss slows down considerably. It’s totally normal to have weeks when I lose more than expected, and weeks when my weight remains the same despite my consistent efforts. My body is very complicated and don’t always cooperate with the estimates of how much I should expect to lose. People rarely lose a consistent amount of weight each week. Measuring My weight loss on a monthly basis can be a more accurate gauge of how well I am doing.

This is my plan from here out. emoticon

Have a great weekend

I used to do a daily weigh in, but then I would only compare it with my weight from the month before.

    Then my scale broke.

The scale I have now isn't easy to read, so I weigh every couple of weeks or when I think about it. After all, the scale isn't why I am doing this - that number is just a side effect of my efforts to be healthy, vital, and more comfortable in my clothes. Those are the real measures of my progress. After all, I'd be miserable if the numbers kept going down but I didn't see any progress in my health, energy level, or jeans.

    Monthly is great!

This is so true. I believe that if I consistently eat healthy and exercise, the results on the scale will not always reflect it each week. But if I look over the month.....
