I retired Feb.1st last year and have had the most blessed and wonderful year. I don't know if before I just didn't take the time to appreciate all the good things in my life or if life really is better now. I do know that now I appreciate my friends in my life a lot more than before. I have a great walking and water aerobics buddy who keeps me moving forward. I have friends I worked with that still include me in many of their activities and check in on me to be sure I'm not becoming a hermit. That was a worry that hasn't happened at all. I have Spark friends that support and cheer me on and just make my day better. My health is improved with better numbers all around and my doctor is surprised and impressed. I have lost weight and I know I'm in a better mood with a more positive attitude.

You make me think of one of the opening lines in the Nutritional Almanac I own, loosely translated, "Everything we feed our bodies, feeds our brain. Everything that feeds our brain, contols our behavior.". Love to the life of living long enough to have and enjoy an attitude of gratitude. 2510 days ago
