As I go through this journey of weight loss, I read a lot. I am looking for a honest answer about protein. Looking at what I eat and the protein I get do I need a protein powder? Thank you, Debbie
May 1st, I did some reading, I am under what they recommend. Could this hamper my weight loss? That they don't tell me but enough protein is a energy source, I am increasing my exercise, is it a good idea then to add the protein powder, at this point I think I will, I have a smoothie a day I can put it in there.

    Hi Rose_626! Is your name Rose? I do eat some meat, chicken mostly. When I do I do not use the protein powder because I get enough protein that day. So I play it by ear! I still try to drink a smoothie daily, you probably don't need more veggies in your diet but for those who do you can make a smoothie with the sweetness of fruit and add spinach, or what ever you like and get veggies and you don't taste them! What a great idea for children huh? Wishing you the best to with your weight loss journey. Mine is slow, but that's ok they say that is best! I did not gain it overnight that is for sure! emoticon emoticon

    A smoothie a day sounds like a great idea! I don't see how it can hurt to add some protein powder. I'm a vegetarian, so I try to get my protein from meat substitutes and beans. I might give the protein powder a try myself, especially now with the warmer weather upon us! Wishing you the best on your weight loss goal! emoticon emoticon
