junk food and the scale

I have not written a blog for a while, so I thought I would sit down and do one today. last sunday I jumped on the scale and it said 182.4 I was so excited. Monday it said 184 tues it said 185.. ugh I was upset. I thought ok I am eating a little junk here and there. and I have been but counting the caleries. I thought ok is the fat in the junk food jumping to the scale along with my rear end. fat is fat.
so I thought it has been three weeks since I started and three weeks since I measured myself. so I thought I feel smaller my pants are lose. So I get the tap measure out an sure enough three inch off my waist and two off my rear end.
anyway that helped me not to get to discouraged.. and lifted my spirits to try harder to stay on track.
my husband is the junk food king. the only reason he is not over weight is cause he runs 10 miles a week three or four times a week. plus has a very pysically active job. he used to weigh 290. and is down to about the right weight.. me I do not have the time to run 10 miles nor do I have that time of job as I am a stay at home mom.
so I have to make up my mind look better and feel better and be healthier I have to stay away from the junk.. it is so hard but I can do this.
today I weight 182 so go figure...
question what do you do to avoid all the junk that is in yoru house???

    ask your husband to keep his junk outside the house or put it on the top shelf

    I think my best approach is like you said and also take our a serving or half and put it up... this is something I have to learn to live with so I need to plan ahead

    PLAN. I live with 5 other people who eat lots of junk. I try to track the day before, right before bed, then I KNOW what I'm supposed to be eating, it helps, cause if I eat something else, I have to go back and edit it, and then I see where I went wrong. If I do eat junk, I try to make sure I take a serving and put the rest away.
    If you have the option - clear out the junk and stock up on healthy stuff. Or put the healthy stuff in the front, so you'd have to dig for the junk, and hopefully remind yourself of your goal. :)
