Finishing Challenge

This is the last week of the spring challenge and I have meet so many new supportive people. I haven't done as well as I could have and I know it. I love ice cream and I have to stop buying it. That way I can't eat it.

I have enjoyed this challenge and plan to do another one. emoticon

    ...or you could learn what a portion is and limit yourself to 1-2 portions daily.

    I buy the lowest calorie I can find (100 cal 1/2 cup) and use my discarded applesauce cups - it will hold about 3/4 cup when "rainbowed over."

    My "ice cream" is Peanut Butter and since I must have my Peanut Butter, I worked it in! Now I am happy again and so far not needing to binge-eat. Again, I use the applesauce cup and thin out my ONE portion of PB with the PB2 powder to get a goodly amount to satisfy my cravings.

    Anything can be worked into your meal plan with a little ahead of time planning.

    You're doing great - just keep on trying! You cannot fail unless you quit trying!

    What I do is make frozen banana sandwiches. I cut the banana into small pieces, stick two together with peanut butter or nutella, and freeze them. Then when I want Ice cream, I go for them. Reminds me of those Dib things. Still satisfies the sweet and cold craving, but it's not as big of a hit on the calorie goals and I don't feel bad about it after.

    Not keeping ice cream in the house is a good step. Lots of nutritionists recommend just that then if you really want some, going out for it and having a small amount. That way you got to enjoy it and there isn't more hanging around tempting you.

    I eat frozen yogurt at 90 calories for half a cup .You can find some awesome kinds just as good as ice cream.

    HI hon !! there is always the summer challenge, and plz do come along and join us for the Break,, we are trying to contact other teams (We think there will be 3 or 4 teams running, where we are talking about doing a combo effort. We are trying to tie it maybe into a charity race,, since so many run for them.,, this will afford those of us who can't/don't run to still belong by benefitting a charity,, well that's what's "kinda" in the plan).

    I also LOVE ice cream ! to death !! but, yet, I do not wanna die from it. I worked on a "step down" about it,, first to creamy ice cream on a stick, so my cals would be limited,, I adore orange cremes ! And strawberry also) than down to ice cream sand,, than to popsicles,, and now I am doing freezer sticks,,,, those things in plastic. Not sure if your able to try this? The frozen plastic things, are still cold,, I love cold.

    So far this challenge,, it's not like you gained,, instead you are at 50% of ur 5% goal,, and this is not bad !!! Next time,, if you wish,,, just write to the leaders,, and one of us will work one on one with you,, ,, and also remember when you desire that ice cream so much (or anything else) that you cant so far do in moderation (For a 1/2 cup of ice cream is FINE !! As long as ur still in cal range,, that's even Great ,, one hates to be deprived !) so write to us,, we will help you ,, also blog when u wish for the needed help, maike sure in the heading you put "Want it NOW ! Plz help" or something like that,, so when it scrolls for all on Sparks to see,, it'll get hit right off.

    It takes a whole kennel to raise a puppy. Stay with us and you'll get a 101 ways to gratify that ice cream craving without jeopardizing your progress. I see a great banana suggestion already.

    We I want icecream, I often just dip a half a banana in dark chocolate and freeze it, or buy sugar free icecream. Less of an impact on my goals and I can cool off that way. Hugs. Was a pleasure to have you on this team.
