Ok everyone, I've had some people say that they'd like for me to make blogs more often. So, I've collected a few photos over the past month and will share them with you now.

This is my 8 year old cat, Tulsa. I've always been close to my cats, but never as close as what I am to her. When we first got her as a 8 week old kitten, she would sleep on my head. As she got bigger and no longer fit on my head, she slept with her body draped around my neck. Now she sleeps under the covers with me as close to the opening to the covers as she can get. A great deal of time, when I am on my computer, she is laying on my shoulder by my neck. When I am in my recliner in the living room, she is either in my lap or laying on the back of the chair. If she is trying to get my attention at night because she wants under the cover, she takes her paw and taps my nose with it till I raise the covers so that she can get in.

This is my Chihuahua, Magic. My sweet Alan bought her for me (she is the only pet that we have ever not rescued) on the one year anniversary of my precious Brownie's passing 9 years ago. Magic will be 8 in July. Her first 5 years with us, she was my dog, only wanted to be with me, would not have anything to do with anyone else. Then about 3 years ago, she started wanting to be with Alan all the time. Sleep with him, be in his power chair with him, in his recliner when he was there, stayed in the bathroom with him when he was on the toilet, followed him from room to room where ever he went. She was always right beside him. She took a vigil on his bed next to him in the last few weeks that he was alive. After he left to be with the Lord, she grieved for about 6 weeks. Now she does not want to leave my side.

This is my oldest DD, holding her dog, Junie.

We planted this rose in my yard on Father's day, in honor of Alan.

DD's and I went to the lake to wade in the water for a bit. We had a difficult time find a spot that I could get down to the water easily. All we could find was this boat ramp. Which I could not stay on because the severe incline of it made my back & hips hurt. So, sadly, we ended up not getting to wade.

Youngest DD walking down to the boat ramp to the water's edge.

Junie is checking out all the new smell's.

Very calm water on this particular day. It gives me chills to think about all the fish that are bigger then me in that lake!

DD's trying to scope out another place that we could get to the water easily.

The lake's dam. I'm thinking that would be a nice picture to paint.

Junie is tired, she's had a long hot day....with all her doggie adventures. I short nap on her mom's shoulder is called for, she think's.

Junie is "helping" DD drive.

DD's at the Chinese restaurant that we ate at after our trip to the lake.

An odd photo of me and oldest DD. Both of us were trying to tell Tammy what button to push in order to take the photo, so neither of our faces were ready for the photo to be taken.

My cat, Gizmo, asking me WHY am I waking him up just to take a photo of him.

This is the stray cat, we call him Grey Kitty, who comes to our house almost every morning for breakfast. It has been 5 years ago now that we first saw him. At that time none of us could get within 8 feet of him. He was scared to death of any human being. But over time, kindness & patients on our part, he begun to trust us little by little as we left food for him in the driveway. The longer he came here to eat, the more trusting he became of us.....we could touch him.....then we could sit down by him....then he would let us pick him up.....then he started coming to the front door for his food....then he would let us bring him in the house....then when we opened the door he walked right in, but would only eat his food right there at the door....NOW he almost falls in the door when I open it and races to the kitchen. When he first started going into the kitchen, he would quickly eat and run back to the door to be let out. NOW he actually lays on our kitchen bar, takes a bath and relaxes before he is ready to go back outside.

The smaller dog is Junie, eldest DD's dog. She is a pit bull/mix. The yellow lab is Lacy, she's the neighbor's dog. She weighs 90 pounds. She gets out of their back yard on most days and come's over here....for company I guess. I told her dad that I don't mind her being here, and he comes to get her in the evening when he gets off work. She is a very laid back and sweet dog. My dogs get along well with her, and vice-versa.

Lacy & Junie (DD's dog). They LOVE playing together. I have seen them play together for more then 2 hours non-stop.

Oldest DD with one of her birthday presents...a cookie jar that says "count your blessing".

My SIL with 2 of her Mother's day present, rug and a necklace & earring set.

A plant for SIL~it's some kind of Ivy, but I can't remember what kind.

SIL with her Mother's day cake.

And last, but not least, a close-up of cake. Obviously it was not professionally made, but I thought that I did a pretty fair job.
Ok everyone, that is it for the show for now. Stay tuned though, and I will make another blog at a later date.

and

to you all.
