Test Results

Thursday, July 31, 2014

The time for action starts NOW!! My health must be my first priority.

Today I had the EMG Test. My results were given to me shortly after the test. Yes, there is some nerve damage & I also have mild to moderate Carpal Tunnel. I will continue to do physical therapy. I see my Fibromyalgia / Pain Specialist in four weeks. She gave me a brace for my hands. I will need to wear it as much as possible, even when I sleep. The brace is not flexible, it seems very stiff. I will ask about the possibility of a more flexible brace at my PT session tomorrow. She also gave me samples of Lyrica that I will start taking tonight. We discussed Fibromyalgia & she stressed the importance of a healthy diet. Sugar is not acceptable, something that will be hard for me to adjust to. Like it or not I must start somewhere so I will be eliminating even more processed foods, adding more vegetables to my diet. I will work on getting in the habit of juicing several times a week, hopefully building it to a daily basis. I will need to find a support group where I can attend actual meetings, Still looking into that. I also plan to look into more alternative healing methods. I am not going to let Fibromyalgia, RA, Scoliosis, Degenerative disc, & the rest of my ailments win this battle. I am ready to do what I must. Let the battle begin.

I love smoothies first thing in the morning and it's a great way to get in my daily veggies/fruits and calcium or it won't happen. it's tougher getting motivated to move but once I do, I'm glad I did.

ps.. thanks for your encouragement and support on my latest blog, which is always appreciated. wherever you are on your journey... I wish you strength, determination and the courage to keep pushing.
