Thanks for commenting on my blog, page, feed, and giving me goodies. Right now I'm not able to respond to each of you, but I will get there. I sure appreciate all of you kind words!

Surgery went very well even though there was a 2 hour delay. I was able to walk about 1 hour after surgery with very little pain. On the hour + ride home, the pain meds wore off. I've been in horrific pain ever since. Unfortunately there is no pain med strong enough that can be prescribed for me. This has been true all of my life, so surgery of any type is always difficult for me. I did call my ortho PA yesterday as I am unable to get out of bed or stand up by myself. My husband has to to work on Monday so what am I going to do? No one has any answers for me :( I also noticed this morning that my ankle and instep are very painful; I can barely put any pressure on my foot. How do I walk? I did drag myself to the recliner, but I wonder if I did more damage than good?

I have an appt. with an ortho PA on Tues. afternoon, but I'm not sure he will have any answers other than ordering PT for me. I'm sure that will be helpful in the long run, but in the meantime what do I do? I don't qualify for home health care, and even if I did, they couldn't stay with me all of the hours my husband is away from home. He is usually gone from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. or later.

Any suggestions???
