This has not been my best year. I have allowed fear to hold me back from doing what I needed to do. That will stop today.

Last week I had surgery to remove my entire thyroid. The nodules had grown larger & was beginning to press into my chest. It should have been done last year. I've been prescribed medication that will work just as the original thyroid did. I don't feel any different, just very bruised & sore.

This week I embark on a new beginning. A beginning of changes that will last a lifetime, not just a few days. Will it be easy, NO it won't be. Change never is. I have promised myself that I will do my best to live a healthier life. No more broken promises.

I promise myself:

To make myself a priority
To love myself
To eat healthier foods
To exercise three times a week
To make improvements in taking my medications .. No thyroid causing pills to get stuck
To spend at least fifteen minutes every day practicing meditation
To eliminate the remainder of processed foods by year end
To eliminate all junk food by end of the year
To be grateful for everything I have .. I am blessed

I have a sister that had her Thyroid removed a few years ago due to Thyroid Cancer. I know that this really changes things..

I so hope that you are doing well..

I think that things were more difficult that first year but now she seems more leveled off .. the physical changes that would occur came and went and she knows what she is left with to deal with (but she's alive and feels well). It hasn't been that bad.

I'm so GLAD to hear that your are challenging your fears and MOVING forward.. emoticon

I don't know you but I will be thinking of YOU this week.. Adding you as a SPARK Friend right now!
