Goals for 2015

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

I didn't do goals here in 2014 - although I had several and achieved many.

I just wrote in a thread about goals, what mine are for 2015 - and want to have a record of it here so I am copying and pasting that info here so that I can revisit in the coming year.

I have only been formulating my goals, but have some nailed down.

Spiritually - to learn to love my DH as the description in the Bible in Titus 2, and to be able to teach other women to do the same.
Read through the Bible at least once. I did it twice this year.
Memorize 2 Peter and possibly another book of the Bible. (I did James this year)
Work on a prayer journal.

Home schooling - I am going to be, Lord willing, graduating this year after homeschooling for over 25 years. My baby is a senior.

Physically - I want to do at least one race this year - probably 5 or 10K
I want to lose 40 pounds - and to be eating whole foods 90% of the time.

Get rid of another 365 things. I have done this a couple years now and it is becoming harder in some ways, but easier as the kids leave home as I don't need as many things with fewer people in the house.

I don't know if I can part with that many things. But I guess without knowing it, it adds up easily.

My kids are in college now, too. They are taking a class together. This makes me happy because they like and appreciate and trust each other enough to do that. lol emoticon

Happy New Year and thanks for sharing your good goals - I see balance here and that's so important.

As for the decluttering, I'm going to use a friend's declutter calendar, at least for January. She has a task for each day.
    25 years of home-schooling - that's amazing! emoticon

This is GREAT! I love the order you chose to list your goals.....
I believe, if our spiritual goals are met, the rest will automatically follow!
I wish I had more Godly women in my life, when I was younger and I thank you for setting the example for the women in your life!!
I am stealing the 365 things idea......I have PLENTY to choose from! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I saw where you said you will be getting rid of 365 things. Does that just mean that each day you get rid of one thing? What a cool idea! I always struggle with those dreaded clean out days. Great goals for the new year!
