Praising God for Answered Prayer

I have been away from home since Sunday night. I am staying with my grandson who is 8 years old while his mom is on vacation. It has been lots of fun staying with him and reconnecting again. He's always been a special guy to me cause I know he loves me very much and I am one of his favorite people.
So, my food intake has been a little suspect since I have been here, mainly due to the fact that I'm not at home in my own kitchen, making food I am totally familiar with. Here there are others food items that I like, but I have not used in qu9ite a while if ever. Much of my 'counting' has been guessing, but I am trying to be fair in my guessing...not cheating that I am aware of. But this is not the real reason I am posting this blog.
The real reason I want to post this is to give God a great big, "Thank you! from the bottom of my heart!" Let me explain. As you may know I have seven wonderful talented and precious children, all of whom are grown and have families of their own. Two of our sons are in the military, one in the National Guard, and one in Army Reserves. My son in the National Guard is a major in the Red Bull Division out of Minnesota. About two months ago, it was announced that the Red Bulls would be deployed to Lybia to aid in the Ebola crisis there. This young man has been deployed twice before to Iraq for a year of more each of those times. I am very proud of the service he and his brother are giving and have given (my younger of the two has been deployed once to Afghanistan and once to Iraq). I am proud of their families and the way they sacrificed while my sons were gone - it was a sacrifice for my husband and I also even though they are grown and no longer live at home. They are still our sons and we stepped up to the plate to help our daughters-in-law and grandchildren in any way we ere able to.
Naturally when we heard that our son might have to leave his home and family again, for the third time, we were not thrilled. And because it was to deal with Ebola, a much different kind of enemy, and perhaps just as dangerous as any they had dealt with in the past two deployments, it was frightening. My husband told me yesterday that the military had changed it's mind and the Red Bulls are no longer being considered for deployment.
I can't tell you enough what a answer to our prayer this is! The people at out church have been praying for our son and his company and family. Praise God, He answered our prayers and that of our sons family. We have such a good God, such a sweet Lord Jesus and such a powerfully wonderful Holy Spirit! Thank You, Lord! I praise Your Holy Name. Amen. And thank you, Mother Mary for your prayers for us as well. In Jesus Name, Amen.
