5 Weeks in...how it's going...

Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Looking at my page & goals, I realize that I've made progress-16# and counting, I'm logging daily & am beginning to have more energy, which is awesome... emoticon

I'm usually at the high end of my calorie range emoticon
I've yet to start walking, so to meet my 5K goal by 3/25 is likely not going to happen emoticon
For whatever reason, getting to the gym is my biggest roadblock right now-not sure if it's because I don't want people to see how I let myself go, or if I'm afraid of my heart issues starting again...in either case, I must overcome this if I'm to progress-mind games, huh??? emoticon

That's pretty much it-it does feel good to see the scale change or my clothes fit looser & I really don't miss all the junk, but I do still have my moments-the key is not to have the temptations around-at least for me! emoticon

Have a great week & 'weigh in' on how it's going with you! emoticon

You are doing an emoticon job !! I understand how the fear of medical issues can hold us back. I have heart issues also. Little steps, one at at time helps us to build the confidence we need.

Wow, you are impressive. Committed and seeing good progress. With regards to roadblocks the best way is to take a detour and come at it from a different direction. Work on other types of exercise until you have built up your confidence. By what you have described with having more energy and clothing already feeling better you willbe kknocking on the gym door before you know it. You are fabulous x

You are doing amazing!!!! I've never been to a gym, one because I'm scared people will laugh, so I feel you there, but two, because the closest one is a 25 minute drive and I would have to tote 3 kids along with me. It doesn't seem worth it. I've been doing walking DVD's and started some Biggest Loser Power Sculpt and Bootcamp this week. I'm 7.5 weeks in and down 29 pounds! Yay for both of us. I think the key is learning what our weaknesses are and acting accordingly. WooHoo for progress!!!!

As far as the gym goes (and I don't know what your heart issues are), if you've got the okay from your doctor get going. I assure you, everybody at the gym is busy with themselves and nobody cares how you look.
