I read this quote and thought I need to set my sight on what I want. I know that I want to be healthy and get rid of my excess weight. I thought I need to have a vision of how that will look.

However, I have learned to set small sights not big ones. Right now my small sight is loosing 5% which equals 10 lbs. I can some close in the last 5% challenge. I lost 8 lbs. This time I'm going to loose the 10 lbs. That is what is in my sights right now. It will come to me.

Have a vision of what the long term will be but focus on the small sights. It will help you focus better and have more goal achievement. Focusing on the big picture can cause frustration when it doesn't happen right away. I'm speaking from experience on that. I used to focus on the big picture instead of my small goals. I've learned that there is less frustration when you focus on smaller goals than that larger goal.

In January, I had put on my goal board that I wanted to loose 25 lbs by my birthday. I thought it was a goal that I could achieve. Well my birthday is coming up in 2 weeks. Unfortunately that goal will not be achieved. I'm okay with it. I've made a new goal. I'll be going on vacation in September. I would like to be close to 25 lbs by then. I think that I can do that.

Set your sights on what you want and it will come to you.
