Your life not just your body

The Contrary Athlete posted this on her facebook page yesterday.
This came at a perfect time for me. I'm in the process of changing part-time jobs. For the past 5 years, I have worked part-time as an EMT. With 6 shifts remaining, my time working as an EMT is coming to a close. I'm still going to volunteer in my hometown on the ambulance.
I have found a part-time job working as a cashier at the Weis Markets. It is across the street from my house. I can walk to work. I'll be saving on gas and extra food expenses of eating out. I'll be able to eat at home before I go to work.
I'm focusing on making my life better. I'm at some point in time that I won't have to work 2 jobs but I'm not sure if I remember what it is like to work only 1 job. I have worked 2 jobs for the 10 years even when I was teaching. I did it then just for "play" money. Now it has become a necessity.
I'm focusing on what I would like my body to look like as but I'm focusing more on my life. I know that I'll never be super skinny and that I'll have my curves. I'm okay with it. I will want to be not as curvy in certain places. My life and happiness is more important than body image. Most days, I'm comfortable in my body. Some days, I'm not.
Focus on your life and not just how you want your body to look.
