Sparkpeople is the best home base.

"Happy Birthday to me" . My birthday gift to myself is coming back to Sparkpeople. As usual I've been MIA partly because I've been "wildin out" as they say but as I was getting closer to my birthday, I decided to make some changes in the right direction.
Last week I went back to Weight Watchers even though I knew I would have to pay (I'm 4 pounds over my lifetime goal weight). I actually stayed for the meeting AND the new members class afterwards. I'm glad I did because it got me excited and helped me refocus.
I've started tracking in Sparkpeople again (I prefer our tracker) and today I was reading some of the blogs in the community area. It's so good to be reminded that I'm not alone in my rollercoastering.
At the WW meeting, I was listening to some of my fellow Lifetimers who to my surprised expressed some of my own feelings about this end of the fitness journey. On the journey down there is always a goal to focus on so your path is clear but when you reach it, what then? I realize that may be why I've been flirting with my goal weight since I reached it. The sixty pound loss has been easy to maintain compared to the last ten Ive been playing with for the last 5 years.
Anyway, I don't have a solution but I know I can't lose if I keep trying so back to the basics and keep working at it. It all starts at home base so here I am.
