Well here is where I am for the next few weeks. You're looking at my feet with and without my walking casts and the ball of fur on my tummy is Pippin, my home health aide/dog, sleeping on the job. The bags contain food (salad and fruit) lovingly prepared for me by my incredible husband before he went off to work.

I've needed the surgery for years but was terrified of the forced inactivity the recovery time would cause. Well I ended up irritating them so much that the choice became to either rest through the pain they were causing or rest during the recovery that would heal them once and for all so I chose the latter. This is day two and the pain is so manageable that I have not had to take any medication as yet.

I brought up all my favorite DVDs from the basement and plan to review all of them so I can compile a playlist of "doable" upper body and ab workouts that I can perform once I am able so that's my entertainment while I'm bedridden. Follow up visit is Friday and I'll find out to what extent I can move around. He already told me two weeks NOTHING, but maybe if I'm a good girl........I'll get early release ? I'll keep you posted.

emoticon What a choice to have to make, but that part's over...I'm loving your way to push through the prescribed bedridden time. And Pippin IS on the job...I bet you couldn't move without waking Pippin up (good pup pup! emoticon )
