This year, I started out about a mile at a time and getting winded going up and down the stairs. By May, I joined Moms Run This Town. I started running two, sometimes 3x a week. I stretched it out to 2.5 miles by June. In July I went to California and ran on my own, then to the Pioneer Day 5k at the end of July. Then I also ran in Rhode Island. When I got back in August, I ran with the group and improved my time-with the other ladies, I ran 14 minute miles. They added hills to one of the days that we run. I ended up with 6 miles and a 38 flights of steps with that run. So it is possible for the old girl to improve!!!
The past two times I jogged with people who wanted to chat and ended up not being winded-who thought I could ever do that. They said we were doing 12 minute miles. That is unprecedented! I couldn't believe it!
Still making it to zumba and riding the bike to piano. Really fun.
BTW seeing the sun rise in the morning gives hope and health to the brain chemicals. I'm really needing that now!
