Day #18 Retrain Eating Habits
This lesson continues with ways to leave extra food on your plate instead of continuing to be a part of the "clean your plate" club.
Because I grew up in a large family with not a lot of extra food, the idea of leaving something on my plate is a hard one for me.
But after getting used to watching my grown kids and grandkids being able to scrape their plates in the garbage and realizing none of them have weight issues, I can see the benefits of not always "cleaning your plate"!
They aren't wasteful but the little bits of extra aren't hard for them to toss.
The good thing for me is that we have a compost pile and chickens for the extra scraps so I am better about tossing. The grandkids and now great grandkids are also learning about recycling!
