Day #21 Conscious Eating--Eat With Awareness
If you have ever eaten a cookie or a meal and looked down and had no memory of what you ate, this lesson is for you.
It is the story of Bob (actually Phyllis) who has a habit of reading, watching TV or in my case sending messages while eating.

Learning that the reason to eat is --to fuel your body and to appreciate flavors means my goal is to learn "mindful eating".

Slow down
No other activities while eating
Notice the food and appreciate the flavors
Make meals memorable eaten at the table

Test 1: Breakfast before taking hubby for early Doctor appointment--
Needed to move from my regular chair to not focus on TV in the other room.
Needed to slow way down and not think of all the other things I wanted to do before leaving.
Learned I really like Cheerios which I usually only have when I need to leave early!
