Day 349: Broken streak

Ah!!! I was doing so good with my walking. I had a 21 day streak of walking 10 K steps everyday. But since this Monday, I have a severe bout of cold. I had a runny nose and was sneezing continuously. Though it has subsided, but now I have developed a severe cough. And my streak was broken. After taking care of my baby, my house & office, I simply have no energy left to do anything else. I hope this cold is gone by this weekend.

The good news is that today morning I weighed the same as last friday, 76.2 kg. Inspite of not being able to do any kind of exercise, not gaining pounds is a good sign to me. So that makes me happy.

    So sorry to hear you got sick! That is a valid reason to loose a streak though. Hope you feel much better soon and that you are taking good care of yourself in the interim.

    I agree with Barb (Goalcxxv). We can't do a 100% streak forever. Life happens! We get sick and our bodies have to have rest. Celebrate the 21 days! That is awesome! When you are totally better you can start again, but remember to give yourself a break. You are doing great! emoticon

    I sympathize with you. Colds are so uncomfortable, and they sap your strength. Enjoy the necessary rest and don't worry about your streak. No one can keep a streak up continually forever. Congratulations on 21 days of walking consistently. That's an accomplishment. Great job!

    Don't think of it as a broken streak think of it as a short rest for your body. Set a goal for maybe 1/2 like 5 km then set a target day on your calendar to hit it back into full gear. Hope you are feeling better soon
