I just had a personal epiphany. I remembered that my goal weight was 190 lbs and I am currently 216 lbs. That means I only need to lose 26 lbs to reach my goal weight. Some people may say 26 lbs is a lot. But I say that's nothing. So far I lost 59 lbs. that's 69% completed. I only have 31% left to go. Truthfully the first party of my journey was the most difficult. I had to break free from my sugar dependency. Plus I had to incorporate different activities that I didn't care to do. I learned that my body can do and accomplish a lot if I just try.
The difficult part of this portion of my journey is the slowness of it all. It was fast in the beginning. Now I have to learn to be happy with maintaining weight or losing just one lb. plus I am learning to listen to my body. Which foods make me feel better. I'm actually craving healthier foods and my stomach cringes at the thought of eating certain junk food. Let's be real. It hurts now when I eat certain foods.
Regardless to how I feel about the length of the journey, this has truly become a lifestyle. I might not be where I want to be but I'll get there. I'll be the turtle. Let the hares get there quickly and gain it back. My slow pace is guaranteeing that it will last
