New regime for my foot

So at therapy today, John (my PT guy) told me, in not so many words lol, that I'm pushing it too far. He'd given me a stronger resistance band on Tuesday, but now we wants me to only use it on my left foot to improve my flexibility (broke my ankle the summer after my senior year) and go back to the lighter band for the right foot for now. I've also been banned from any sort of weight-baring cardio. :( Not even walking for now. I was totally bummed and not liking John very well right at that moment. lol After working an extremely busy 11 hr day, mostly on my feet, I saw the wisdom of his words...or rather, felt them lol.
But then he gave me an alternative. He said seated workouts are fine and said that while I was receiving therapy at the rehab facility, I can also come and use the fitness center at no charge! This is great news for me! My gym only offers recumbent bikes, not upright ones, and I don't like them....AT ALL! I feel like my fat roll is being shoved up into my face on those things! lol I imagine I resemble a Hersey's Kiss sitting there. lol At the rehab center, they have upright bikes, seated ellipticals and seated step machines!!! WOOHOO! OPTIONS!
Now to figure out a schedule to make it there. I work till 5 tomorrow and they close at 1. They're open Sunday 1-5 though, so I can go then. And they're open 5:30-9 the rest of the week. So I'll go there as much as I can (am I REALLY contemplating getting up at 6 to work out BEFORE work????) and get my cardio in there. They also have a full weight and machine room, so I may as well get in my ST there too lol.
Who knew? All you have to do is shell out $50 a week for therapy to get better gym equipment options lol.
I'll post how it's going once I drag myself out of bed that early a few days lol.
