this and that

I had physical therapy this morning. Since its' been raining the last few days off and on I been very achy and stiff getting up in the morning. I haven't slept well in days and keep tossing around trying to find a better position to sleep. I end up getting up several times on those nights and walk the house a bit than go back and try again. So this morning I woke and had to climb over the dog... not so good when you can bare stand on your own two feet. But he was solid asleep, bless his heart the poor guy was tuckered. He hates rain storms.
Anyway... I got a good bit of inflammation going and I had to get to physical therapy. They did amazing things to my legs today and when I left there I felt so much better. I love the heat blanket and thought I could put a blanket in the dryer and run it a bit and lay it over my achy body parts and get a similar result for those nights I can't seem to get any comfort. I have to try that. The next time I go for therapy is Friday and we'll be in the pool.
Between rain showers today I went into the garden and readied another planter box. I have cucumber seeds popping their heads on the window sill and soon they will be ready to be planted outside. So I filled a box and let it sit and settle. The rain is just perfect for it. I made a big hanging basket for the front door with lots of annuals. It adds a nice focal point to the doorway. I also set up a large planter with a beautiful rose bush by the front porch. It will be a container rose for years, since it has plenty of room to grow in there. The next few days when the weather is nice again I take some pictures of the changes. My garden is doing well, so I am going to update there too. I set cages on all the tomato plants and see plenty of flowering buds already. The squash, zucchini, pumpkin, and summer squash is doing well, but the watermelon doesn't seem to like its spot. I put a cloche over them to give them a bit of a green house effect for a few days and see if it changes anything. If not I might have to consider transplanting them. We'll have to see.
So it's raining itself nice and steady outside tonight and we are all tugged up tight. Hubby is reading and I am getting ready to play a few games on the comp. Just a bit for fun.
