Hello friends. Last update was about a year ago where my goal was to lose enough weight to fit into my bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding in September. Well, I succeeded! The dress fit perfectly, I didn't have to wear Spanx (THANK GOD) and the wedding was wonderful. And now I have gained the weight back since then. I'm back, once again, and I hope to keep this going.
Usually what happens is I eat healthy for most of the day and then it all comes crashing down at dinnertime (portion control is the one thing I really struggle with) or after dinner when my boyfriend breaks out the snacks, like last night. I had leftover quiche first...not too bad...and then I had two crab cakes...not HORRIBLE but not the healthiest...and then my boyfriend and I split a bag of popcorn. And the came the freakin' Freihofer chocolate chip cookies (my fav) and then I had a glass of wine. I went to bed feeling like crap. But the difference between last night and any other night is I tracked it all. This morning I looked at how many calories I went over by and told myself that today is a new day.
The weather is getting nice so i'm outside walking/running practically every day. I'm no longer doing Weight Watchers and I canceled my gym membership last summer due to being tight on money but I'm not concerned. I was able to lose 50 pounds without either of those things. So here we go.
BTW, I love the SparkPeople app! It's definitely going to make it easier for me to track everything!
