It feels like I been super busy the past two weeks, but yet I got nothing done. Ever feel like that? We had appointments, both I and my hubby, and I had physical therapy. We had the kids and the grand kids over several times and I watched our grand daughter twice while she was sick. So the change in normal is probably responsible for how I feel that nothing got done. The weather is slowly cooperating. We have sunshine today, actual blue sky and my hubby told me to go quick and get my camera... in case it didn't last. Now that we jinxed it we got more rain coming all through the weekend. The garden is so water logged but everything is hanging on. The roses have new shoots... the different squashes have all a mass of flowers. the spaghetti squash is completely out of its bed and so full of blossoms that if the sun finally does shine we'll have harvest to share. We have a few green tomatoes, but again they need sun. I lost most of the cucumbers, but there is time to restart there. The beans will bring a great harvest this year and I even will get some potatoes ! I lost all the lettuce to the hail and then the rain, so I need to re-sow there, but that will come up quickly. The sunflowers loved the rain and hubby got a "field" of them going strong. The worms are busy composting, but we have a little issue there with sour flies. So we are working on that. Now that the end of the rain is in sight we have started back up on some garden projects that we need to attend to. Hubby got busy started while I was at physical therapy this morning. He said he needs my help on it and I don't mind so much, but his idea of help is ... he says this needs doing and watches me doing it. I just didn't feel like falling into step this time, so he's gonna have to help or it won't get done. It's not a pressing project, just something we want to get done eventually.
.. and yes, baby squirrels do exist, they are sooo cute when they are little!
