Thank you everyone responding to my blog and my pages in general. It means a lot to have friends and people willing to comment or offer advice and insights. thank you!
Yesterday was a day spend once again without internet. Something was up with the DSL and I am hoping that they really fixing it this time. Perhaps they are replacing cables and connecting boxes, who knows but the line went dead after midnight and didn't come on until early evening. Just long enough to check email, get the updates and it went out again shortly after midnight. Puts a serious dent in my hubby's night activities. He is a night person and catches up on news, social media and his various interests at night. He has a hard time sleeping and his entire schedule was thrown off when the internet goes down at night.
I had a chance to spend the morning in the garden and catch up on much needed work before it got so humid it was impossible to work outside. We were waiting all day for the rain to come down and it never did. We got thunder and lightning last night, but no rain. The clouds are heavy this morning, almost makes the sky look black, but we have to see what happens. All that humidity makes me feel like I can't breathe. It feels like my heart is trying to explode. So I stay inside today where the fan is going and maybe get to finish the book I started yesterday. I have a workout session planned today, since I gardened yesterday but nothing else. Tomorrow I have physical therapy again in the pool. That's a little over an hour of water aerobics. I have three more sessions than I used them all up. So that means today is interval training. I love those days because it is a lot of littles things adding up to a whopping workout.
I went around my garden yesterday.... everything is lush green and blooming. the various squashes are bursting with flowers, but no fruit yet. The beans needed to be corralled back into its cages. they got a little wild and are blooming as well. I pulled some radishes that were not producing and fed my worm farm with them. The marigolds are blooming between the tomato plants. The are raised from seeds. The lettuce I seeded on Sunday is coming up and the kohlrabi from the window sill has taken in its new place in the garden. The pumpkin is going good, two of the watermelon finally decided to grow and the cantaloupe has some brothers and sisters on the compost; self planted. The sunflowers can hide my dog if he decides to walk through them and are growing strong in the stalks. and my flowers.... the roses are showing new shoots, everything is blooming full and heavy and do you remember my special project with the pansies??
it went from this to this....
and in case it needs pointing out here is a close up
I am going to get pansies after all!
